Certification Requirements

To earn the CAWM credential, learners must:

  • Complete the CAWM course

  • Pass the final CAWM certification exam

  • Agree to the WMI Code of Conduct & Integrity Policy

There are no prerequisites or degree requirements.
Everyone is welcome to begin their work management journey.

The CAWM Exam

The exam is designed to validate your understanding of the principles and ability to apply them in real-world scenarios.


Exam details:

  • 60 questions

  • Multiple choice & scenario-based

  • 90 minutes

  • Passing score: 70%

  • Exam administered online

  • Retake allowed

You will receive your results immediately upon completion.

Digital Credential & Certificate

Upon passing the exam, you will receive:

  • A digital certificate issued through Accredible

  • A verifiable credential you can share on LinkedIn

  • A unique credential ID and verification link

  • (Future feature) A listing in the WMI Credential Registry

Your CAWM credential signals to employers that you are certified in a fast-growing discipline and equipped to elevate how work gets done.

Recertification

To maintain an active CAWM credential, certificates are renewed every 2 years.
The Work Management Institute will provide flexible renewal options as the discipline grows.

Renewal activities may include:

  • Completing a short refresher module

  • Taking a brief renewal assessment

  • Participating in a WMI webinar or workshop

  • Demonstrating relevant professional experience

 

Full recertification guidelines will be published as WMI expands its continuing education offerings.
